Mucosal melanoma is a rare and aggressive form of the disease that is often presents in an advanced form. With a biology very different to the cutaneous form, our understanding of mucosal melanoma is lacking and therefore treatment options are largely unsuccessful. Dr Shannon provides an overview of our current understanding of the disease.
